Privacy policy

Last updated:

CanadaCasinoTop does not ask you to register, does not take payments and does not run a newsletter, so the personal data we handle is limited. Everything is listed below — browsing records, the job each cookie does, who else gets the data and which requests you can make.

The data controller

Personal data handled through canadacasinotop.com is controlled by its publisher, Kadeline Online N.V., Kaya W.F.G. (Jombi) Mensing 36, Willemstad, Curaçao. Send any question or request concerning your data to [email protected].

What is recorded when you visit

  • Server logs. Each request leaves a standard entry on our server: IP address, browser type, requested URL, referring URL and timestamp. These logs are used to keep the site running, to find errors and to block abusive traffic.
  • Content delivery. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes the same technical request data to route traffic and filter attacks.
  • Messages you send us. Emails reaching us, together with the sender address, are kept only until they have been answered and any correction they prompted has been dealt with.

Cookies

The site and its outgoing /go/ links set four first-party cookies on canadacasinotop.com. No other cookies are set by our pages, and the pages carry no analytics scripts or advertising pixels.

  • mz_vid — random identifier for a visitor; lifetime one year. It is set when you load a page.
  • mz_src — notes whether you arrived from a search engine, by typing the address or otherwise; lifetime 30 days. It is set when you load a page.
  • mozbiz_session — a session cookie set when you follow a /go/ link to an operator, expiring after 20 hours.
  • XSRF-TOKEN — a security token set with the session cookie on /go/ links, also expiring after 20 hours.

Together they let us count how many readers we send to each casino, credit the referral to this site and protect the redirect from automated abuse. You can delete or block these cookies in your browser settings; the articles and tables will still work.

What the casinos receive

When you click through to an operator, the link passes the random visitor identifier so the operator can credit the referral to CanadaCasinoTop. It does not carry your name, email address or anything you typed on this site. Once you are on the operator’s website, its own privacy policy applies to everything you do there, including registration and payments.

Why we process the data

We process it to run and secure the site, to measure and settle the commission we earn from operators (explained in our affiliate disclosure) and to reply to readers. We do not sell personal data, do not build advertising profiles and do not make automated decisions about you.

Who else sees it

Only the providers that host and deliver the site, and operators as described above. Those providers may store data outside Canada, including outside the country where the publisher is registered.

Your rights

On request we will tell you which personal data we hold on you and correct or erase it; clearing your cookies withdraws you from them whenever you like. Write to the address below; we may need to confirm that the request comes from you. Readers in Canada who find our reply unsatisfactory may turn to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to their provincial privacy regulator.

Changes

If the site starts to collect anything new, this page will be updated first. Which version is current? The date above tells you.
